The Musicians

Meet the talented quartet of Swing Shift, each member bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for music that enhances their unique sound and dynamic performances.

Stuart MacDonald - Baritone Saxophone

Stuart Macdonald began performing on P&O cruise liners before joining Bob Hope’s touring band, then the Squadronaires. He later played with Tony Christie, Shirley Bassey, and other top artists.

Cindy Orme - Tenor Saxophone

Cindy Orme began playing in big bands at 14, and is currently performing in Steve Walker’s Big Swing Band and Sounds Easy. She’s also performed with The Temptations, The Commitments, and The Elvis Tribute Show.

Tracey Stobart - Alto Saxophone

Tracey, a classically trained musician, played folk and jazz across the Midlands. Now in Lincolnshire, she performs saxophone and flute with Bluestones Big Band, Louth Wind Orchestra, and Swing Shift.

Paul Murrell - Soprano Saxophone

Paul Murrell, a former Army musician and Director of Music, served globally, performing jazz and military music. Now retired, he conducts, arranges, com- poses, and plays with local big bands.
